Vancouver Saltwater Salmon Fishing Report

The past little while has seen the fishing on The Hump being good to excellent, with most fish being found in and around depths of 90 to 120 feet. Here is your Vancouver Salmon Fishing report for May 2, 2014.

Reports from anglers have been that fish are being caught on on herring, anchovies, and spoons.

So far, spoon size has been relatively average with popular sizes being 3.0 and 3.5. Popular spoons and colours have been the It’s Not, Leprechaun, Irish Cream, and Homeland Security.

Lately, we have also been starting to hear good reports from those who have ventured over to Thrasher, as well as offshore in waters 500-1000 feet, with the riggers set at 140-200 feet

Crabbing and prawning, as expected, has continued being good to those who are dropping traps.

Keeping in mind that we are starting to swing in to the peak season, you’ll want to book now to confirm dates for our salmon and crabbing charters.

We have been booking lots of trips everyday, so please give us a call and book your trip right away, especially if you need a weekend date.
