Andrew was out on an 8 hour charter today in search of some big springs. The test sets on the Fraser are clearly showing that there are good numbers of chinook heading up the river. The numbers are much higher compared to this time last year. After searching hard from the Bell to the QA for most of the morning with not much success, the decision was made to check out W. Van for some coho and then Howe Sound for some springs. All in all things were fairly slow in all locations today. There are still some coho being caught off W. Van and some decent springs up Howe Sound but the Fraser River springs don’t seem to be showing off the Bell Buoy or QA in any consistent fashion.
