This last week of December has seen the local salmon fishing pick up. We usually see some bait and some chinook show up in the harbour right about the last week of December and this year did not disappoint. This marks the beginning of the local winter chinook season where anglers fish the shoreline of West Vancouver, the QB Marker, and the Freighters for chrome, aggressive winter chinook.
This is a great time to book a charter. The air is cool and crisp, the fish fight hard (you wont’ find a better tasting chinook), and there are dungeness crab to be had as well! 4 anglers can enjoy this fishery for 5-6 hours for $500.00!
