Vancouver Salmon Fishing
Vancouver salmon fishing is productive all year round. With 5 species of Pacific salmon available in our waters, Pacific Angler always provide excitement! There are several significant river systems that meet the ocean in the area around Vancouver including the Capilano which provides runs of coho and chinook right at our door step, and the famous Fraser River, which is one of the largest BC salmon producing rivers in the world! Georgia Straight, the body of water that effectively splits the Gulf Islands and southern Vancouver Island from Vancouver and the mainland, is not only a productive feeding ground for maturing BC and Vancouver salmon, but also a highway for many other salmon while traveling between their home rivers and respective feeding grounds.
So along with the immediate local waters, which are only a short 10-20 minutes from our dock, Pacific Angler accesses a number of hot spots throughout Georgia Straight and over in the Gulf Islands. This result is fantastic salmon fishing 12 months of the year.
Guided Salmon Fishing Charters
We offer 5, 8 and 10 hour Vancouver salmon charters as well as overnight Gulf Island and Vancouver Island salmon fishing packages. Our guides are friendly, experienced and professional, not to mention among the top BC salmon fishing guides coast wide.
Join Pacific Angler for some premier BC salmon fishing on our flagship boat, a luxurious 27’ Grady White Sailfish sport fishing boat. Our Grady White boasts 59 square feet of back deck space so there is plenty of room for our guide and guests to operate the gear relax and catch fish!
Custom trips are also available. Our fleet of Grady White boats combined with our intimate knowledge of the salmon fishing from Vancouver to Queen Charlottes, will accommodate virtually every situation. There is no group too small or too larger and no destination too remote.
Vancouver Salmon Fishing
Vancouver’s saltwater salmon fishing can be accessed 12 months a year only minutes from our slip. Starting in the winter months and continuing into the spring time we have great fishing for immature, feeding chinook salmon, called “feeder springs” in the 10-25lb range.
The Gulf Islands
The south eastern section of Vancouver Island is encompassed by the Gulf Islands. The Gulf Islands are made up of over 100 islands ranging in size from many hectares to a few hundred square meters. In amongst the islands are countless fishy points, bays and reefs.
Custom Trips
The Pacific Angler Team is comprised of avid fishermen who are experts at fishing in British Columbia waters. If you have a particular fishery or species in mind and do not see it here; contact us and we can work together to design custom trips for those “out of way”, niche fisheries.
Beach Salmon Trips
Hidden and productive beaches with cruising salmon are only a short boat ride away. If trolling is not for you and you dream of casting a fly or light spinning gear to salmon we can situate you on one of many beaches with amazing scenery and shallow water salmon fishing.
Cutthroat
Coastal sea run cutthroat trout are beautiful nomadic fish that can reach sizes of 4-5 lbs! Pacific Angler Expeditions staff has significant experience targeting these fish with fly fishing equipment.
Central Coast
The central Coast of British Columbia is home to some of the best salmon fishing in the world. There are numerous hot spots to choose from and our guides have spent many years fishing the waters of the Central Coast and beyond.
